I found that Strategic IT Vendor Management was more aligned to Category Management within the Procurement industry. Since then, I have held many senior vendor management roles with global IT vendors or working within the IT group of international bluechip companies.įurthermore, I've also had opportunity to cross the floor and spend time within the procurement industry working with pure play procurement consultancies and found myself translating my experience from IT to Procurement and vice versa.
